Një gjeneral dhe një kapiten po ecnin së bashku në rrugë kur kaluan pranë një grupi ushtarësh. Sa herë që një ushtar përshëndeste, kapiteni i përshëndeste pas kësaj dhe thoshte: "Edhe ty."

Pas pak, gjenerali e pyeti: "Pse po thua gjithmonë ashtu?"

Kapiteni buzëqeshi dhe tha: "Edhe unë kam qenë ushtar. E di shumë mirë çka po mendojnë."

A general and a captain were walking down the street when they passed a group of soldiers. Each time a soldier saluted, the captain returned the salute and said: "Same to you."

After a while, the general asked: "Why do you keep saying that?"

The captain smiled and said:  "I used to be a private. I know exactly what they’re thinking."
